Director & Support Worker
I’m the founder of TessAbility and I also work directly with participants as a support worker. I love helping people build confidence, get out into the community and feel supported by someone they can trust.
My journey into disability support began during my nursing career, where I cared for people in oncology, aged care, rehabilitation and palliative care units. During this time, I also worked independently as a disability support worker and discovered how much I enjoyed building genuine relationships with participants.
Today, I focus on disability support full-time through TessAbility. I love getting to know each person, supporting them to achieve their goals and celebrating the small wins along the way. Every person deserves to feel heard, respected and supported to live the life they choose.
Tess also brings nursing experience across oncology, rehabilitation, aged care and palliative care.
I am committed to ongoing professional development in dementia care, infection prevention, communication and NDIS best practice and maintaining, improving, and broadening my clinical skills and knowledge.
